At Ohio Valley Voices, we call it “the walk.” “The walk” is the moment when a new family walks through our building for the first time. They hear the laughter and voices of deaf children and they are amazed.
They grow even more awestruck and excited with each hopeful step. Giving a ray of hope to these families, and giving their children the opportunity to learn is what we do at Ohio Valley Voices.
Every family deserves a walk.
Thanks to our many contributors we are able to give families of deaf children the hope they are searching for, and the solace that they are doing the best for their child.
Ohio Valley Voices is a 501c (3) organization. We rely on contributions to accomplish our mission: teaching deaf children to listen and speak.
Ohio Valley Voices relies on donations from the community to keep our doors open and our children smiling, listening, and talking. Every year we hold a campaign with the goal of raising over $50,000 for our programs. Please consider making a gift today!

Making your Mark
The only legacy worth leaving is a brighter future for all. Many families before you contributed to help grow Ohio Valley Voices to the excellent program that it is today.
Imagine the smile on your child’s face when he or she returns to Ohio Valley Voices to see his name on a classroom door or his photo on a wall. Imagine how proud they will be when they are old enough to appreciate your gesture. That’s a legacy money can’t buy.
There are many opportunities to become a volunteer at Ohio Valley Voices. No matter what your skills or interests, there is a way to get involved!
On-site volunteers can help with nap time, recess, arts and crafts projects, and gardening.
Outdoor Garden volunteers help keep Ohio Valley Voices beautiful. Garden volunteers can assist with planning, planting, maintenance, and preparing hands-on learning opportunities for our children.
Administrative volunteers assist with the many filing, mailing, and general office tasks that come with running our organization. Maintenance volunteers are asked to help with a variety of tasks that match their expertise; painting and school repairs are just a few examples of tasks that they could help with.
