The Learning CenterThe Learning Center meets five days a week from 8:50am. to 3:30pm. The Learning Center serves children from five to eight years of age. In the Learning Center the day includes a minimum of two and a half hours of individualized instruction in speech, auditory training and language instruction. The focus in the Learning Center is on literacy development. Students in the Learning Center receive individual direct instruction in reading. The remainder of the school day is allotted to academic activities designed to accelerate the process of learning spoken language. We are licensed by the Ohio Department of Education as a special needs non-graded program up to the second grade. Each student at Ohio Valley Voices not only receives specialized instruction on how to talk but also receives an excellent curriculum designed to meet the specialized needs of hearing impaired children and provides an enriched educational experience that follows the academic requirements of the Ohio Department of Education. |
